Hybrid Co-Op Model

Our co-op offers a variety of academic and enrichment classes designed to support homeschool families and provide engaging learning opportunities for students of different ages. Course offerings may include subjects such as Language Arts, Math, Science, Writing, Art, STEM, Finance, Business, Music, Spanish, and Public Speaking, along with younger student programs like Storytime and Circle Time. Some courses may also be offered online or in hybrid formats, such as Photography or Social Media classes, to provide additional flexibility and expertise. Physical Education opportunities may also be available, possibly on a separate day. Classes are made possible through the involvement of parent volunteers and community instructors who share their knowledge and passions with students.

Clubs and social gatherings provide students with opportunities to connect with peers, explore shared interests, and build friendships within the homeschool community. Club offerings may include a Homeschool Social Club, Book Club, Art Club, Writing Club, Lego Club, Minecraft Club (with an education license if there is enough interest), Dungeons & Dragons Club, Animal Crossing Club, Mario Kart Club, and a Confidence Club focused on personal growth and encouragement. These relaxed and fun environments help students build social skills, creativity, and community connections.

Student committees are a valuable part of the co-op experience and provide opportunities for students to become active participants in the community. Through committees such as Yearbook, Leadership, Event Planning, Communication & Media, Arts & Creative, STEM, Community Service, and Student Council, students can collaborate with peers and teacher volunteers to help plan projects and activities throughout the semester. Serving on a committee allows students to develop leadership skills, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence while contributing to the growth and success of the co-op.

Parents are a vital part of the co-op community, and Grow Your Mind Academy strives to create opportunities for parents to connect, support one another, and build lasting friendships. Parent programs may include activities such as a Parent Book Club, Game Nights, Paint Nights, informal Chat & Connect gatherings, and a Parent Mentorship Program. These opportunities help create a welcoming and supportive environment where families can share experiences, encouragement, and resources as they walk through their homeschool journey together.

Students involved in committees and leadership roles may help organize and plan a variety of exciting events throughout the year. These opportunities allow students to take ownership in creating memorable experiences for the community while learning valuable planning and organizational skills. Activities may include school dances, prom, science fairs, art fairs, and educational field trips that bring learning to life beyond the classroom.

The co-op yearbook provides a meaningful way to capture and preserve memories from the school year. Students serving on the Yearbook Committee will work together to help document classes, events, clubs, and special moments throughout the semester. With guidance from teacher volunteers, students may assist with collecting photos, writing captions, designing pages, and organizing content for the final publication. This experience allows students to develop creativity, teamwork, and media skills while creating a lasting keepsake for the entire co-op community.
