Committees
Committees are a great way for students to become actively involved in the co-op community. They provide opportunities for students to share ideas, develop responsibility, and participate in planning activities.
Students serving on committees will have the chance to work alongside teacher volunteers to help plan, organize, and coordinate projects, events, and activities throughout the semester. These experiences help students build leadership skills, teamwork, and confidence.

Parent Programs
Parents are an important part of our community. In addition to helping support the co-op, we want to create opportunities for parents to connect, build relationships, and enjoy time together as well. Grow Your Mind Academy aims to provide a supportive space where parents can meet, share experiences, and grow alongside one another.
Opportunities for parents may include:
-
Parent Book Club
-
Parent Game Night
-
Parent Paint Nights
-
Chat & Connect Opportunities
-
Parent Mentorship Program
These opportunities are designed to help build a strong, supportive community for both students and families.

Mentor/Homeroom (Online)
Each family at Grow Your Mind Academy is assigned a dedicated mentor and a homeroom. Homerooms help provide support, guidance, and a sense of community.
-
Online Homerooms: Students will be grouped by age or grade level to ensure appropriate instruction, peer interaction, and engagement.

This structure helps families feel connected and supported, whether participating in in-person or online programs.

Assembly (In-Person)
Students have the option to attend an in-person meeting at the start of each day. These gatherings are designed to build community and start the day positively.
During these sessions, students may:
-
Hear important announcements
-
Share a success story or short talk
-
Participate in the Pledge of Allegiance
-
Be invited to speak or share their own story
These optional gatherings provide a welcoming and supportive start to the day while encouraging student participation and connection.
Online Schedule
Online Instruction Schedule
Some classes at Grow Your Mind Academy will be offered online to provide additional learning opportunities, flexibility, and course options that may not always be possible in a traditional classroom setting. Due to limited classroom space and resources, offering certain classes online allows more students to participate and ensures each class maintains high-quality instruction.

Online classes will:
-
Meet once per week on a scheduled day during future semesters (Summer & Fall).
-
Utilize platforms such as Google Classroom for instruction and assignments.
-
Use Discord for moderated social interaction and club activities.
-
Be monitored by adults to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Our online offerings are designed to expand course options while maintaining the same high-quality instruction and community engagement as our in-person programs.
