Terms and Conditions, Parental Consent, and Liability Waiver

Welcome to Grow Your Mind Academy. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in and use of our online homeschool programs, website, virtual learning platforms, and any related in-person gatherings (collectively, the “Services”).

By enrolling in or participating in Grow Your Mind Academy, you (“you,” “your,” “student,” or “parent/guardian”) agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Program Overview

Grow Your Mind Academy is an online homeschool designed to support homeschooling families through live virtual classes, group projects, and community activities. While most sessions are conducted virtually, Grow Your Mind Academy may organize optional or scheduled in-person meetups, workshops, or events.

2. Enrollment and Eligibility

  • Participants must be registered homeschool students or part of a homeschooling family.
     

  • A parent or legal guardian must complete the enrollment process for any student under 18.
     

  • Grow Your Mind Academy reserves the right to deny or revoke enrollment for any reason, including conduct violations or non-payment.
     

3. Fees and Payments

  • All tuition, fees, or contributions are due according to the payment schedule listed on the Grow Your Mind Academy website or provided at registration.
     

  • Payments are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
     

  • Failure to pay on time may result in suspension or removal from classes.
     

4. Technology Requirements

  • Participants are responsible for providing their own internet access, device, and any required software.
     

  • Students must log in using their real name and maintain a respectful, distraction-free learning environment.
     

  • Parents are encouraged to supervise students’ participation during online sessions.
     

5. Code of Conduct

Grow Your Mind Academy expects all members—students, parents, and instructors—to:

  • Treat others with respect, kindness, and inclusion.
     

  • Use appropriate language and behavior during all sessions.
     

  • Refrain from disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior in both virtual and in-person environments.
     

  • Follow all instructions from instructors, facilitators, or event organizers.
     

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including temporary suspension or permanent removal from the program.

6. In-Person Meetings

  • Attendance at in-person gatherings is optional but encouraged.
     

  • Parents and guardians are responsible for transportation, supervision, and the behavior of their child during these events.
     

  • Grow Your Mind Academy is not liable for injuries, illnesses, or damages occurring during off-site or in-person events.
     

7. Privacy and Media Consent

  • Grow Your Mind Academy may collect limited personal information for enrollment and communication purposes only.
     

  • Classes may be recorded for internal use or for absent students.
     

  • By participating, you grant permission for Grow Your Mind Academy to use photographs, recordings, or other media from classes or events for promotional purposes unless you opt out in writing.
     

8. Safety and Liability

  • You agree to assume all risks associated with participation in online and in-person activities.
     

  • Grow Your Mind Academy, its instructors, and its volunteers are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from participation.
     

  • Parents remain the primary educators and are responsible for ensuring their child’s academic progress and safety.
     

9. Intellectual Property

All course materials, recordings, and curriculum content are the property of Grow Your Mind Academy or its instructors.
You may not share, copy, or distribute these materials without written permission.

10. Termination

Grow Your Mind Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation for:

  • Non-compliance with these Terms,
     

  • Disruptive or inappropriate behavior, or
     

  • Non-payment of fees.
     

No refunds will be provided for removals due to policy violations.

11. Parental Consent and Liability Waiver

Parental Consent

By enrolling your child in Grow Your Mind Academy, you:

  • Confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the enrolled student(s).
     

  • Grant permission for your child to participate in all online and in-person activities organized by Grow Your Mind Academy.
     

  • Acknowledge that you are responsible for monitoring your child’s participation in virtual sessions and for providing a safe and appropriate learning environment.
     

  • Understand that in-person events may take place at various locations and that you are responsible for your child’s transportation and supervision unless otherwise stated.
     

Liability Waiver

In consideration of participation in Grow Your Mind Academy:

  • You acknowledge that participation involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to internet interruptions, accidents during in-person events, or exposure to illness.
     

  • You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Grow Your Mind Academy, its directors, instructors, volunteers, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of participation in any Grow Your Mind Academy activity.
     

  • You agree to indemnify and defend Grow Your Mind Academy against any claims brought as a result of your or your child’s actions.
     

  • You understand that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law and that if any portion is found invalid, the remainder shall continue in full force and effect.
     

12. Modifications

Grow Your Mind Academy may update or modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on the Grow Your Mind Academy website, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of any changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of [Insert State], without regard to conflict of law principles.

Class Minimum & Payment Policy

At Grow Your Mind Academy, we strive to provide high-quality classes, clubs, and workshops for our homeschool community. To ensure every class is engaging and worthwhile for students, we have a minimum enrollment policy.

Class Minimums

  • All classes, clubs, and workshops require a minimum of 6 students to run.

  • If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment by the registration deadline, we may cancel or reschedule the class.

Payment Policy

  1. Interest Registration:
     

    • Families are encouraged to fill out our interest form to reserve a spot.

    • No payment is collected until the class meets the minimum enrollment.
       

  2. Payment After Confirmation:
     

    • Once the minimum enrollment is met, families will be notified and asked to pay to secure their spot.

    • Payment can be made via Venmo, Zelle, or other approved methods.
       

  3. Deposits (Optional):
     

    • Some classes may require a small deposit to hold a spot.

    • Deposits are refundable if a class is canceled due to not meeting the minimum.
       

  4. Refunds:
     

    • If a class is canceled because it does not meet the minimum, full payments or deposits will be refunded.

    • Refunds will be issued promptly via the original payment method.

Waitlist

  • If a class is full or below the minimum, families may join a waitlist.

  • If additional students register and the class reaches the minimum, waitlisted families will be notified first.

Communication

  • Families will receive clear communication regarding:
     

    • Class confirmation

    • Payment instructions

    • Refunds or cancellations

    • Waitlist opportunities

Summary
