Grow Your Mind Academy Co-Op

Operated by: Grow Your Mind Academy Foundation, Inc

Welcome to the Grow Your Mind Academy Co-Op!

After hearing from many homeschool families, we realized something important — the co-op community model is what people truly wanted. So we’re excited to share that Grow Your Mind Academy is returning to a co-op format! Families will be able to participate by teaching, assisting, helping with events, or supporting student activities.

This model allows us to keep programs affordable while building a strong homeschool learning community together. We are also in the works of opening a Homeschool Resource Center — a space where families can access curriculum materials, study resources, technology, and collaborate in person.

If you’ve been interested in Grow Your Mind Academy, now is a great time to get involved!

Our Mission

To provide high-quality educational programs and community resources that support homeschool families, encourage curiosity, and cultivate lifelong learners.

Our Vision

A community where every child has access to engaging educational opportunities, mentorship, and enrichment activities to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Non-Profit Status & 501(c) 3

Grow Your Mind Academy Foundation, Inc. is currently in the process of obtaining federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. This designation requires an application and filing fee with the IRS. Because of the associated costs, we are working toward completing this process as resources allow.

Accreditation

Grow Your Mind Academy Foundation, Inc. is also working toward pursuing NAEYC accreditation. As our program grows and student enrollment increases, we will be able to meet the requirements needed to apply for accreditation through a recognized accrediting organization.

Grow Your Mind Co-Op Participation

We will be utilizing a hybrid model - in person and online classes. Parents will need to sign up to be apart of our Co-Op and contribute to two of these options below:

  • Teacher In-Person

  • Class Support - Teacher Assist In-Person

  • Teacher Online

  • Class Support - Teacher Assist Online

  • Events & Activities (Set-up, Planning, Coordinating with Students)

  • Yearbook

  • Committees (Leadership)

  • Homeroom

  • Homeroom Assist

  • Admin Assistance (Volunteer - Mentorship Program  Formation, Assistance)

These are volunteer positions and are an important part of the co-op model so that every family contributes to the community. Parents are required to fulfill two volunteer responsibilities as part of participating in the co-op. When signing up, parents will select four preferred roles and rank them from 1 to 4, with 1 being their most preferred option. This ranking system helps ensure that responsibilities are distributed fairly among families. If a particular role receives too many requests, families may be assigned to one of their other selected preferences. All positions within the co-op are volunteer-based and are an important part of how our community operates. By sharing responsibilities, families help create a collaborative and supportive learning environment for all students. If a parent would like to participate in more than two roles, they are welcome to indicate that on the form. All individuals 18+ working with children, will need a background check on file. You may purchase your own background check or you can purchase a background check from Grow Your Mind Academy for $30. Background checks are included in Registration Fee Costs.
